STRESS & THE NEED FOR MASSAGE

Stress causes adrenal glands to release the hormone cortisol. The more stress we experience, the more cortisol is released. Too much cortisol causes weight gain, severe fatigue, high blood-pressure, acne, headache, irritability, and other problems. Inflammatory for your body and brain, stress and high cortisol levels interfere with wellness. Therapeutic Massage has many benefits, including helping to lower cortisol levels.

LYMPHATIC-DRAINAGE & THE NEED FOR  MASSAGE

Our lymphatic system fights invaders and filters out toxins and waste materials. Lymph vessels have tiny muscles that contract to propel many substances (toxins, hormones, fatty acids, and more) to lymph nodes, which make immune cells that fight infection. The problem is that the muscular action of lymph vessels is impeded by stress, lack of physical activity, cold temperature, dehydration, age, fatigue, and by some chemicals and food additives. This poor drainage accelerates aging and can lead to physical ailments.
